The Patriarchal Cross

The Patriarchal Cross, otherwise known outside NCAY as the 'Calvary Cross', consists of a Latin cross atop three graded steps and was introduced as a pulpit decoration in 1995 though it is also used in the temples of the Holy Order and is found on the old Coat of Arms of Central Assemblies.

The three steps represent, on different spiritual levels:

• (1) the Elohimhead (Godhead) of:

  • (a) Father (Yahweh);
  • (b) Son (Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ); and
  • (c) Sevenfold Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit).

• (2) the three New Covenant Priesthood orders, viz,

  • (a) Patriarchal/Matriarchal (apostles);
  • (b) the Enochian/Miriyamic (elders/eldresses); and
  • (c) the Zadokian/Marthaic (deacons/deaconesses);

• (3) the three annual Pilgrim Festivals of Messianic Israel, viz.

  • (a) Pesach (Passover);
  • (b) Shavu'ot (Weeks, 'Pentecost'); and
  • (c) Sukkot (Tabernacles), .

• (4) The Presiding Patriarchate who consituted, in New Testament times:

  • (a) Peter (Kefa);
  • (b) James (Ya'kov); and
  • (c) John (Yochannan).

• (5) The three presiding Tribes of the Camp of Israel:

  • (a) Joseph-Ephraim;
  • (b) Joseph-Manasseh (West & East); and
  • (c) Benjamin.

• (6) The Three Resurrection Glories and Kingdoms (1 Cor.15:41) represented by the apostle Paul as being likened in brilliance to:

  • (a) The Sun (those believers resurrected at the beginning of the Millennium);
  • (b) The Moon (those disobedient believers resurrected at the end of the Mellennium); and
  • (c) The Stars (those unbelievers resurrected at the end of the Millennium).

  etc.

The inspiration for this logo came from a vision seen by Lev-Tsiyon on 28 October 1995 in which he saw Messiah place a large golden Calvary Cross on top of an assembly house steeple (NC&C 387). The red background represents the blood of Messiah by which we are fully saved, and the Cross His atoning work.
